Mach Xtreme Technology shows with this MX-DS Turbo 120GB SATA III SSD, what SSDs can reach with the SF-2281 Controller. The brand-new SandForce SSD is tested with some benchmark tools in AHCI and Legacy IDE mode at SATA3 port and all values are compared to all SSDs tested at ocinside.de so far. We will see the strengths and the weaknesses of this SSD, which even received the Redaktion ocinside.de Overclocking Dream Award 09/2011 in this review.

SATA3 connections are identical to conventional SATA2 and SATA3 hard disk connections, so this SATA3 SSD can also operate with slower speed at an SATA2 interface:
Here you can see the SandForce 2281 Controller IC, more detailed SF-2281VB1-SDC and eight of altogether sixteen 25nm Intel 25nm Multi Level Cell NAND components of the SATA3 SSD with each 8GB capacity to reach a total capacity of 128GB or 120GB without overprovisioning:
