Uncompromising performance! Today at OCinside.de, we are testing the T710 2TB from Crucial, a NVMe SSD that has been designed exclusively for maximum performance. With the fastest controller, its own 9th generation TLC 3D NAND, and DDR4 cache, Crucial is attempting to fully exploit the PCIe 5.0 x4 interface and climb to the top of the SSD throne. Our following review reveals whether it succeeds.

Thanks for the support …
Thanks for the support to Daniel and the manufacturer Crucial.
Die Crucial T710 2TB M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 2280 NVMe SSD CT2000T710SSD8 without heat sink has at review date a price of approx. 239 Euro. In terms of price, the T710 is at the upper end of the PCIe 5.0 SSD range. Crucial also offers the T710 SSDs with 1TB or 4TB storage capacity and heat sinks.

The delivery of the Crucial T710 SSD …
The Crucial T710 NVMe SSD comes in a cardboard box measuring approximately 11x10x1.6cm. A 2.5″ HDD would also fit in there, but at least the use of plastic is kept to a minimum. On the front of the packaging, in addition to the name, you will also find references to the Gen5 interface and the maximum transfer rate of 14,500 MB/s.

Unfortunately, during our test, the QR code on the back did not lead to the SSD product page, but only to Crucial’s European homepage.

This is included in the delivery package …
Here we have the SSD, already completely unpacked, in the familiar 2280 format.

The only accessory included is a so-called quick start guide, which merely contains a link to the support page.

Incidentally, the T710 SSD does not come with a screw for securing the SSD in the M.2 socket.
