Result and general impression …
When we saw the AOC Agon Pro AG346UCD monitor, we already had certain expectations. The term “OLED” alone guarantees fast response times, rich colors, and true blacks. But the AOC Agon Pro offers more than just that – it also comes with a complete package including all necessary cables, a sturdy stand, RGB lighting, and various features to prevent the screen burn-in typical of OLED displays caused by prolonged static images.
We didn’t encounter any issues at all, whether gaming or using Office applications, since the 1800R curvature is actually quite conservative. That really won us over!
The same goes for the built-in speakers, which aren’t necessarily doomed to a quiet existence in the background but can easily be used to listen to the occasional YouTube song.
Given the size and quality of the panel, we believe the price is quite reasonable.
However, one area where AOC could improve is quality control regarding the display film. Customers shouldn’t be expected to pull the film out from between the display and the frame. Since this can cause mechanical damage, filing a complaint could also become problematic (Edit: According to AOC, this is usually not an issue). Also, the position of the headset holder could have been chosen a bit better. It would be more practical if it were placed on the side.
However, this should in no way detract from our positive impression of the AOC Agon AG346UCD, which we can definitely recommend.
