Epomaker TH108 Pro Review

Result and general impression …

If you value that distinctive typing sound, you’ll quickly find yourself looking at expensive custom keyboards. Multi-layer damping, specially greased or oiled mechanical switches, and full-body aluminum cases are designed to get the most out of the keyboard. But with the Epomaker TH108 Pro, Epomaker has shown that there’s another way-and, above all, a more affordable one!

A full-size keyboard with RGB lighting, double-shot PBT keycaps, a TFT display, 3-mode connectivity, Windows/Mac compatibility, creamy switches, and a massive 10,000 mAh battery (2).

The typing feel and sound are simply great and are fun not just while gaming. In our test, the battery lasted at least 3 days with full lighting and heavy use, and all keycaps that fit Cherry switches can be used.

The only thing that slightly marred the otherwise great overall experience was the lack of software. It doesn’t always have to be 800 MB of bloatware, but a small installable tool to at least configure the basic functions of the Epomaker keyboard would have been nice. Unfortunately, Epomaker only offers a web interface via one of its web servers, which can only be used with an internet connection and WebHID access.

We also missed the palm rest a bit, though it’s available for separate purchase in the Epomaker store if needed. The frequently advertised coiled cable for the USB port is also available there. If you’re looking for a well-built keyboard with a great key feel, a good range of features, and a reasonable price, the Epomaker TH108 Pro is a must-have.
