The delivery of the ASRock Taichi TC-1300T PSU …

The ASRock Taichi TC-1300T was delivered in a sturdy, unobtrusively designed box, which at first glance gives no indication of the high-quality technology inside. Inside is the actual product packaging, which is much more eye-catching and appealing. The power supply unit is shown on the front together with the product name TC-1300T and the ASRock Phantom Gaming logo. There is also an initial indication of the power supply’s titanium efficiency and modular cable management.

The back of the box contains a list of the special features and specifications. The special features of the power supply unit are also advertised. But more on that later.

The left-hand side is more inconspicuous, showing only the product name of the power supply unit.

However, the right-hand side promises a lot for the customer. It advertises with the slogan “Philosophy of infinite potential”.

With this promise, we should be curious to see how the power supply unit performs.

When you open it, you immediately notice the well thought-out packaging: The power supply unit itself is surrounded on all sides by dense, high-quality foam padding. As a result, it was well protected against damage during transportation. Even after close inspection, no damage or traces of improper handling could be found. The device arrived in perfect condition.

In addition to the power supply unit, all modular cables are included in the scope of delivery, neatly stowed separately in their own bag with the ASRock lettering. They also showed no signs of damage.

Overall, the delivery leaves a solid and well thought-out impression that underlines the product’s claim.

This is included in the delivery package …

The ASRock Taichi TC-1300T comes with everything you need for direct installation and operation. In addition to the power supply unit itself, the package contains an extensive set of modular cables, each of which is packaged separately and well sorted. The scope of delivery includes:

1x 20/24-pin ATX cable
2x 4/8-pin EPS/ATX12V cables
8x 6/8-pin PCIe cables
2x 12V 2×6 cables (16-pin, native)
9x SATA power cable
3x Molex/IDE cable

The cables are partly sleeved, partly flat ribbon and, with their generous length, offer flexible routing, even in larger enclosures with concealed cable management.

Also included are German instructions, 4 screws, cable ties, Velcro strips and a jumper for starting the power supply if no mainboard is connected. The latter is used, for example, to make it easier to fill water cooling systems without the PC having to be switched on.
