Layout, design and features …
As already mentioned, the headset is almost entirely black. The only exception is the gray interior of the ear pads, which also feature markings for the left and right sides. The sound cups have several clear edges, which give them a slightly aggressive look.
The model impresses with its mobile character, as it can be stored very compactly. Surprisingly, the audio cable is still quite long and can therefore be used on the floor with a normal desktop PC.
At the top left of the image, there is a switch for different modes. This allows you to switch between “normal” operation and ANC (Active Noise Cancelling). There is also the option to deliberately amplify external noise so that you can still hear colleagues talking to you, for example. Cougar calls this Ambience Amplify. At the top right is a pairing button for Bluetooth 5.0.
In general, Cougar is very restrained when it comes to self-promotion. The logo on the headband hardly stands out in terms of color.
