The delivery of the Intel Core i9-14900K …

The boxed version is supplied either as an OEM or in smart Intel packaging. Our tray version, on the other hand, was delivered without the fancy packaging, so that we can take a direct look at the CPU.

In addition to the Intel Core i9-14900K, the following 14th generation desktop processors are currently available: Intel Core i9-14900KF, Intel Core i7-14700KF, Intel Core i5-14600KF, Intel Core i7-14700K and Intel Core i5-14600K. These processors differ first of all in the number of cores, which are divided into P-cores and E-cores. They also offer a different clock rate in the base and turbo clock, but also in the L2 cache and L3 cache design and features. The KF version is also a slightly cheaper version without an integrated graphics unit.

The Intel K and KF processors are supplied without a cooler, even if they were ordered in the stylish boxed packaging. The difference between Intel Boxed vs Tray is therefore no longer in the cooler and even the limited warranty for these Intel Tray and Boxed CPUs has now been set to 3 years. With an original sealed Intel Boxed CPU, however, you can be sure that it really has not yet been installed or tested for possible overclocking.
