Mounting
++ It isn't very hard to mount
the fan with a screwdriver but i've seen several easier
constructions before, because the bracket is badly fixed.
Cooling results
++++ The cooling result was
about 36 ° C at 1,75 Vcore and 39° C at 1,90 Vcore,
great !
General impression
+++ The 450 gr. heavy full copper
CAK38 cooler exceeds all present results and
for this reason it's the first cooler getting the ocinside.de
Overclocking Dream award !
Of course there're several fan with less noise and most cooler
with lower weight,
but the size and cooling results is more than good.
According to the manufacturer you should attach the fan directly
to the PC power supply unit
and not to the mainboard connector cause of the very high power
input of 3,84 Watt.
This could be a problem on some mainboards which detects the
CPU-Fan speed and
automatically shut down the PC if no fan is present.
In this case plug another fan like a case fan to the mainboard
CPU-fan connector or
get a newer BIOS with an option to disable the fan fail detection.
This fan is also fit for using with Peltier Element !
