| Name |
Swiftech MCX C370 with NHH612 Papst Cooler |
Size over all
L/B/H |
+++ 64/64/74 mm
The cooler is just as big as the socket ! |
| Cooling output |
+++ 33 CFM (6850 rpm) |
| Noise level |
-- 43 dB (A)
The fan is a little bit loud but I didn't expect anything quiet with such a great cooling output.
Listen to the sound: |
| Mounting |
++ It's an interesting and new type of mounting clips, that I have never seen before,
and if you read the mounting guide carefully, you'll have a very good and securely attached
CPU-heatsink which uses all the 6 noses of your CPU socket !!!
(This could be important if you've destroyed the middle socket nose with another heatsink) |
| Cooling results |
++++ 39° C at 1.75 Vcore
and 43° C at 1.90 Vcore and 1066 MHz, great result ! |
|
General impression
|
+++ The heavy 595 grams MCX C370
copper heatsink shows a new way to cool your CPU !
Lot's of rippled screws in a big block of full copper with a very
well polished bottom surface and a new solid mounting mechanism are only a few reasons for
the good cooling results.
This heatsink needs a hot CPU to stay alive ;-)
And the powerful Papst fan do the rest for this Combo, good work !
The CPU-fan doesn't have a pin for the fan speed detection and
also comes with a normal 4 Pin power supply connector.
Some mainboards automatically shut down the PC if no fan is present !
In this case plug another fan like a case fan to the mainboard
CPU fan connector or
get a newer BIOS with an option to disable the fan detection boot fail.
This fan is also fit for using with a Peltier Element !
Many thanks to Swiftech
for this test sample. |
