Layout, design and features …
Let’s take a closer look at the monitor. The surrounding frame is a design element that unfortunately has a major disadvantage. It conceals the otherwise narrow frame of the FlexScan FLT.

In our opinion, it detracts somewhat from the monitor’s simple, attractive appearance, but it is something different. The EIZO logo is located at the bottom edge.

… as well as the controls, which we particularly liked. Although they are touch controls, they have a slight raised surface, which makes them much more pleasant to use.

The rear is also very tidy and has a surprise in store for us. There are only three USB-C connections on the rear. One connection is used for power supply, one connection connects the monitor to a PC for video signals, and the last connection provides a USB port for connecting an additional device. Either with its own power supply or thanks to USB-C power delivery, a notebook can also be powered via USB-C.

The mount for the monitor arm is located in the center. It is first inserted into the top two holes and then locked in place by pressing down on the pressure lock. Unfortunately, the monitor does not have a stand. This means that it must always be mounted on a bracket, or you can print a neat solution using your own 3D printer. There is also an optional VESA plate available from EIZO. However, we did not have this available for testing.

We were impressed by the table mount.

Height adjustment is not static but requires either lengthening …

… or shortening the boom (diagonally) or lowering the arm is easy to do.

We also really liked the way the table mount was assembled. The C-clamp can be tightened from above by turning the lower ring. This saves you from having to crawl under the table and is a great innovation in our opinion.

And the arm has another surprise in store. It has integrated cable holders …

… to enable clean installation.

Let’s now move on to the installation and practical testing of the FlexScan FLT from Eizo.
