ASRock B460 Steel Legend Motherboard Review

+++ You can buy the ASRock B460 Steel Legend Motherboard for a price of approx. 140 Euro (07/2020). It is in the middle segment of the Intel LGA 1200 motherboards.

The ASRock B460 Steel Legend Intel 1200 DDR4 ATX motherboard offers a solid platform for current Intel processors of the 10th generation, has a good basic equipment including some USB 3.2 Gen1 ports and shows itself in camouflage optics with stylish, addressable RGB illumination.

As basic equipment the B460 Steel Legend motherboard offers altogether four PCI Express slots, six SATA3 ports, two fast Ultra M.2 32Gb/s slots, one M.2 2230 slot for an optional WIFI/BT module, one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C, an additional USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C front panel connector, up to seven possible USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, up to five possible USB 2.0 ports, a 2.5 Gigabit LAN port, analog sound output via five jacks, digital sound output via optical S/PDIF, four DDR4 slots, ASRock A-Tuning software also for controlling the fans in Windows, ASRock Polychrome RGB for addressable RGB LED lighting and much more.

But the Intel B460 chipset allows almost no overclocking!

Thus the ASRock B460 Steel Legend motherboard with the Intel B460 chipset is not at all recommended for overclockers, but with the tricky BFB feature it gets the maximum performance even from a 10th Gen CPU without multiplier activation. Furthermore the stylish ASRock B460 performance motherboard has a purposeful VRM supply, good basic equipment and scores clearly with numerous USB ports as well as a fast 2.5 Gigabit LAN port!

If you are looking for a solid motherboard for processors with locked multiplier, the ASRock B460 Steel Legend is an affordable platform with great features in a stylish design and therefore deserves our OCinside.de Price Tip Award 07/2020.
