NZXT Kraken Plus 360 RGB Review

Installation …

Installation is extremely simple, as the illustrated assembly instructions leave no questions unanswered and are suitable for all bases described.

It is available in 10 different languages.

Here you can see the mounting hardware again, which can be easily installed using the helpful installation instructions.

When mounting on an AM5 socket, the whole process is greatly simplified; simply use the original backplate. The pump has connections for the versatile connection cable, a 3-pin pump connection for speed monitoring by the motherboard, a SATA power connection, an 8-pin connection for the fans with RGB, and a USB 2.0 connection to the motherboard. This cable controls the entire all-in-one water cooling system, as even the fans are controlled via the pump unit.

The WLP has already been applied to the square copper base and usually covers almost the entire heat spreader of the CPU. We will see later in the test how the pre-applied thermal paste performs. Since the thermal paste is already applied to the cooling block, there is no room for installation errors. If the pump needs to be rotated again, new paste should be applied. However, NZXT does not supply any additional thermal paste. If you need additional thermal paste, take a look at our comprehensive thermal paste comparison.

Once installed, the Kraken Plus 360 RGB looks like this.

And this is what the entire PC setup looks like in the recently tested NZXT H9 Flow RGB+ case.
