Fit for Fan !
Cooling output
++++ 37 CFM (6800 rpm)
Noise level
--- 46 dB (A)
This fan animates to hear loud music. It's nothing for sensitive
ears.
Listen to the sound:
Mounting
++ It isn't very hard to mount
the fan with a screwdriver but i've seen several easier
constructions before, because the bracket is badly fixed.
Cooling results
++++ The cooling result was
about 38 ° C at 1,75 Vcore and 41° C at 1,90 Vcore,
nearly the same as the result of the full copper Kanie Hedgehog.
General impression
+++ The 300 gr. lightweight
aluminium alloy WBK 38 offer very good cooling results.
The reason is the very powerful but also noisy fan with a cooling
output of 37 CFM
and a the advanced aluminium core.
According to the manufacturer you should attach the fan directly
to the PC power supply unit
and not to the mainboard connector cause of the very high power
input of 3,84 Watt.
This could be a problem on some mainboards which detects the
CPU-Fan speed and
automatically shut down the PC if no fan is present.
In this case plug another fan like a case fan to the mainboard
CPU-fan connector or
get a newer BIOS with an option to disable the fan fail detection.
This fan is also fit for using with Peltier Element !
