DeepCool CH560 Digital Review

Practical testing …

For the best cooling performance, place a radiator in the front of the case, as the radiator is optimally supplied with fresh air from outside. The pre-installed case fans can also be used to supply the radiator and there is still enough space inside to install additional fans in pull mode. Although Deepcool specifies 380 mm of space for graphics cards, we actually measured 395 mm between the slot bezels of the expansion cards and the front fan frame. This means that even really large RTX4090 graphics cards in custom design still fit into the DeepCool CH650 Digital case, even if a radiator is installed in the front, which is by no means a matter of course for a midi tower, but rather the exception. The Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240 A-RGB water cooler we installed for testing with a total thickness of 63 mm does not require too much space in the case, as all cable openings remain freely accessible.

In the area above the mainboard, things are much tighter. If there are larger heat sinks on the power stages of the mainboard, a radiator and fan can barely be accommodated, as there is just 35 mm between the top edge of the mainboard and the roof. The rear case fan, on the other hand, is perfectly positioned to transport warm air from the CPU cooler to the outside. The DeepCool Assassin IV we installed for testing is one of the largest of its kind and fits easily into the spacious CH560 Digital case, as the limit for the CPU cooler height is 175mm.

As you would expect, there is still more than enough space for a front radiator and cable stowage after installing the power supply unit and hard disks.

In general, there were no problems when installing the components. The threads were all cleanly cut and there were no sharp edges that could have injured yourself or the cables.

The pre-installed case fans harmonize extremely well with the CH560 Digital Midi Tower. The AMD Ryzen 5 5600G processor we tested can be cooled virtually silently with the Assassin IV, as the fan speed does not need to be set particularly high on either the CPU cooler or the case in order to dissipate the heat generated. The ventilation grilles allow the air to pass through almost unhindered and, in conjunction with the DeepCool fans, do not create any unsightly turbulence that would lead to loud airflow noises. We have rarely seen such good ex-factory case ventilation in PC cases before.
