The Icy Dock ToughArmoer MB038SP-B fits into a 5.25″ drive bay and is therefore suitable for use in any desktop enclosure with drive bays or servers.
Up to eight drives are attached to the drive carriers using four enclosed screws and simply slide into the removable frame once the drives have been mounted.
Unfortunately, the new trays are not quite as practical as the EZ-Tray series, so they can tilt a little more easily.
4 U Installation …
The ExpressCage MB038SP-B removable rack could easily be installed in a 4 U case and fits flush into the 5.25″ bay. Only connecting the cables requires a little dexterity, especially as the fan cables are routed between the SATA ports. Surprisingly, the ExpressCage MB038SP-B is slightly shorter than the MB326SP-B.
Now we want to see whether the ExpressCage removable frame can also convince in practical testing.
