The MB839SP-B originates, as mentioned in the beginning, from Icy Docks ToughArmor product line. Therefore, it is almost self-evident that the 195g removable frame is solid and valuable in the hand. The metal is powder-coated and rounded at the edges.
If we turn the removable frame once, we can have a look at the board. Here we find a few unclean solder joints in our test sample, but all in all the board looks solid and not tinkered with.
Seen from the front we find a simple picture. What is not yet visible here is the status LED next to the switch for opening the removable frame.
After a short push on the right switch the removable frame opens automatically. You can now simply pull it out of the housing.
