Result and general impression …
Even with the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 A-RGB variant with 14cm fans, Arctic has not shown any weaknesses and delivers a high-performance CPU water cooler of the top class!
Depending on the fan control, the cooler can be operated very quietly or very powerfully. Since Arctic regularly updates the design, we did not have any space problems with the M.2 slot of the motherboard during this test, since the newer CPU holders were already included. If there are any problems or the LGA 1700 mounting kit is not yet in the package, it is recommended to contact Arctic’s support. They are guaranteed to help, often even by sending accessories free of charge.
The great cooling performance, the good workmanship, the good online instructions and the great support have to be emphasized. Coupled with a 6-year warranty, we have no choice but to give the Liquid Freezer II 280 A-RGB our highly desired OCinside.de Purchase Tip Award 03/2022!

Tip: In the interactive Fit for Fan guide, you can virtually try on the CPU coolers on the motherboard and even listen to most of them – the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 A-RGB is already included.
For a comparison on the different coolers, it’s worth taking a look at our CPU cooler comparison 2021, tested on AMD AM4 and Intel LGA1200 systems, the CPU cooler chart 2018 on an Intel Core i5 PC and the CPU cooler comparison 2018, tested on an AMD AM4 PC system. Here’s still the CPU cooler chart 2016 on Intel Core i5 PC and the CPU cooler comparison 2016, tested on an Intel Core i7 PC system. And there is also the CPU cooler chart with CPU coolers before 2016. However, a direct comparison to our previously tested coolers is not possible since the test system has changed fundamentally in the meantime.
